Ásdís Sif’s work explores the intersection of magical realism and natural wonder through transformation, disguise, and ritual.
These themes play a central role in her performance based artwork while the use of multi channel video, virtual, augmented and live streaming technology enable an interactive discourse.
Ásdís received her BFA with honors from the School of Visual Arts New York in 2000, She received her MA in New Genres from UCLA in 2004.
Ásdís Sif currently lives and works in Reykjavík, Iceland.
